Most front porch designs are based around the style of the home. For example, a home that is in the country would tend to have a country theme, while a Southern home might have a Victorian style type of theme. The different types of styles or any porch should fit with the architectural style of the home. Because if the outside the home does not match the inside, then it could look out of place in give you a weird vibe about the house.
